馃崼 No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars for World Chocolate Day

Wholesome, chocolatey, and blissfully easy to make

Is there a better way to celebrate World Chocolate Day than with a bar that tastes like a cosy chocolate hug? We think not.

These No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are made with our Classic Chocolate Porridge Mix, which already has delicious chunks of chocolate throughout 鈥 making every bite feel like a treat. Paired with creamy coconut, maple syrup, and a decadent peanut butter chocolate topping, this recipe is equal parts nourishing and indulgent. Best of all? No oven required.

鉁 Ingredients

  • 110g coconut oil

  • 80ml maple syrup

  • 300g Classic Chocolate Porridge Mix

  • A pinch of sea salt

  • 5ml vanilla extract

  • 160g dark chocolate chips

  • 180g natural peanut butter (crunchy or smooth 鈥 your choice!)

馃嵂 Method

  1. Start the oat base:
    In a medium saucepan, melt the coconut oil and maple syrup over medium-high heat. Bring it to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally to combine.

  2. Build in the flavour:
    Lower the heat and stir in the Classic Chocolate Porridge Mix, a pinch of sea salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined, then remove from heat. (Your kitchen will already smell dreamy by this point.)

  3. Make the chocolate peanut butter layer:
    Add some water to a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Place a heatproof glass bowl on top (make sure it doesn鈥檛 touch the water). Add the chocolate chips and peanut butter, and stir until fully melted and smooth.

  4. Assemble the bars:
    Line a 9x9-inch square baking tin with baking paper.

    • Pour in half of the oat mixture and press it down firmly with clean hands or the back of a spoon to make an even base.

    • Pour over 戮 of your chocolate-peanut butter mixture, spreading it into a glossy, smooth layer.

    • Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture on top and drizzle with the rest of the chocolate mixture.

  5. Freeze & finish:
    Pop the tray into the freezer for at least 2 hours or until the bars are solid. When you're ready to serve, let them thaw for 10 minutes, then slice into squares and enjoy every wholesome bite.
